Capiz Arts & Crafts: A Cultural and Natural Treasure of the Philippines🇵🇭
Madame PH’ artisanal collections handmade by Filipino artisans and local craftsmen. Capiz shells are translucent, flat, and pearl-like. They grow abundantly in the shallow coastal waters of the Philippines, particularly in the province of Capiz. Currently, most capiz goods still come from the Philippines, where harvesting and working with the shell has become a signature handicraft of the region. The process of harvesting and processing Capiz shells has been an important source of income for many coastal communities in the Philippines.
